ABOUT AUSTRALIAN SALMON FISHING
Autralian Salmon are the most prolific saltwater species patrolling the Australian coastline with many fisherman flocking to the rocks and the surf when the word is out that the salmon are in! These days fishing for salmon is prodominately conducted by casting fishing lures, especially metal slugs, from the beach with high speed retrieves being the most common and effective way of fishing the lure and catching Salmon. When fishing for Australian Salmon in the surf a great place to focus on is the deeper sections of water known as gutters which is where they will sit and wait for small bait fish to come by, making it an easy feed. Other than that the best advice is to use your eyes and look for the salmon schools which can be recognised as dark patches in the water and also look above for birds working schools of bait fish.
