Australian bass fishing is becoming the next big thing with many lure anglers turning their attention to these native fish, especially in the impoundamnts where bass fishing is now a tournament targeted species. Australian Bass are found in the freshwater rivers with anglers mainly focusing their attention around the deeper pools, rapids, rockwalls, weed beds and timber structure casting an array of lures in the hope of catch that trophy fish. Bass are a very exciting fish to target on fishing lures as they've got an aggressive bite and even harder fight especially when they are caught deep in timber! Fishing spinnerbaits and surface lures for australian bass is very common among lure anglers however many fisherman also use other gear including soft plastics, vibes and hard body lures.
