Jake Villani takes us through some basic techniques to catch Bream on soft plastic lures. We were in the locality of Nelson the far west region of Victoria. It's surprising to think we made it onto the water that day! The previous night was quite a rowdy one, full of exuberant ale fuelled ego's that, eventually, faded into the night. We were nestled in a small room out the back of the historic Nelson Hotel and with last nights escapades weighing heavily on the bodies and minds, we weren't so sure that filming the episode we had planned to shoot was such a good idea anymore.

The mornings air was fresh and with it a chilling bite that was gently carried in by the southerly antarctic winds. Tony lay dead to the world as Joel and i put on some warm cloths and went toward the scent of freshly ground coffee beans. A short time had past, and after some eggs and a couple of double shot cappacinno's we decided to continue with the original plan. Joel offered to film and suggested that i fished, which sounded good to me!

We put the boat in at the bottom ramp of the Glenelg river and made our way upstream, to where we had been experiencing some exceptional fishing and it wasn't long before the fish tally begun.
