Joel Turton-Lane and Tony Villani fish the lower reaches of the Glenelg river, near the township of Nelson, situated on the border of the Victoria and South Australia. Our endeavour was to catch Black Bream and Estuary Perch on vibes. Duo lures made a lure for this occasion and it came out of the Tetra Works line and goes by the name of Bivi. Spanning 40mm in length and 3.8 grams in weight, the Bivi makes for a great lure for both Bream and Perch, and with such species being on our agenda, we wasted no time in getting out amongst the fish and throwing some of these Japanese lures into the rock holes and clefts in which they hide in.
It was early Autumn and the fish were still quite active. We had been fishing Glenelg river regularly over the past few months and eventually we thought it was time to get some footage of these fish in action.
At the time, the preferred technique to catch these bream and perch was by using vibe lures, and given the majority of the fish were still sitting down deep in the water column, we thought it was the perfect conditions to continue to do so. So we did!
